Canon or Non-Canon story?

How do you determine that? Part of the final song sequence that is referred to could just as easily be a flashback, so how does it affect the canonic continuity? I just don't get how it works. -Spare-tire (talk) 19:54, May 12, 2025 (EDT)

Have you not watched the episode? It wasn't just a flashback. Anyway, this is the final of the song. Notice the modern Homer AND younger Homer in the same shot? The Solar Dragon 20:09, May 12, 2025 (EDT)
I see, some time-travel gimmick is what breaks it, I suppose. And I'll admit, I gave up watching actual episodes when season 29 started and I learned the show wouldn't be scored by Alf Clausen anymore. Since then, I just read episode summaries to learn how they turn out. That, and occasionally look at preview clips. --Spare-tire (talk)
Do you suppose I'm at a disadvantage, if I no longer actually watch the newer shows. Spare-tire (talk) 20:38, June 16, 2025 (EDT)
I feel that you shouldn't go debating the canonicity of an episode if you haven't watched it. 06:19, June 17, 2025 (EDT)
