History

The Springfield Retirement Castle once visited Plato's Republic Casino, located across the state line.

After Chief Wiggum tried to stop the car in which Ruth Powers and Marge were traveling due to a busted tail light, Ruth accelerated and escaped because it was the stolen car of Ruth's ex-husband. Chief Wiggum and Homer caught up with them again. They were cornered by police cars two miles from the state line but drove off-road to the Grand Chasm. Homer took a megaphone, apologized to Marge, and warned her about the chasm, which made them stop. However, Homer and Wiggum drove into it but were saved by a pile of garbage, as the canyon was being used as a landfill.
