The Haiti veteran is a war veteran.
History
He appeared at the Veterans of Unpopular Wars hall. He told the story of how he lost an eye in Haiti when he forgot to take the little parasol out of the Mai Tai he was drinking. Abraham Simpson did not consider it a proper war story.
