History

Homer Simpson was telling his children about the early days of his relationship with Marge, including their struggles and eventual marriage. As he spoke, Bart and Lisa lost interest and went outside, where they began playing croquet in the yard instead of listening.

During a dispute at Springfield Elementary School, Groundskeeper Willie insulted Principal Seymour Skinner by calling him a "croquet-playing mint muncher."
