Futility Belt is a Bart Simpson Comics story that appears in Bart Simpson #2.

Bart gets a utility belt for his Bartman alter ego to help him fight off enemies. Meanwhile, the CEO of a toy company rejects Professor Frink's jet-powered skateboard invention due to the danger it poses. Frink throws it into the outside garbage and Bart picks it up, intending to use it as the "Bart-Mobile". Bartman flies on the skateboard but it runs out of fuel mid-air, causing him to crash in front of Chief Wiggum. Wiggum tries to chase Bart, who escapes using a smoke capsule from his utility belt. Kent Brockman starts chasing Bartman, who hides in a comic convention.
