"Lisa Simpson" appeared in the non-canon episode "The Simpsons Spin-Off Showcase". In the episode, the Simpsons get their own spin-off, "The Simpson Family Smile-Time Variety Hour" and Troy tells the audience that one family member refused to participate, but she was so perfectly recast that nobody will be able to tell. This family member is soon revealed to be Lisa, who has been replaced by an attractive older model.
Trivia
- The segment is a parody of The Brady Bunch Hour, an infamous short-lived spinoff of the 1970s sitcom, considered one of the worst shows of all time. The replacement of Lisa in the third segment with another girl reflects the recasting of Jan Brady in the Brady Bunch Hour when Eve Plumb refused to participate.
