058 "Summer Donuts Extravaganza"
The Summer Donut Sale, also known as the Summer Donuts Extravaganza, for The Simpsons: Tapped Out was released on August 4, 2014, with two new offers from Gil for donuts, cash, and prizes. Gil's first offer was for a Dumpster of 576 donuts plus a Premium Box containing one of 13 randomly awarded premium buildings. Gil's second offer was for a Tray of 132 donuts plus 10,000 money.
On August 8, 2014, an in-game update added a new icon (the Premium Box) to the build menu. When tapped, the icon activated a menu titled "Premium Stuff" and contained a section showing the Gil offer and how much time it had left before ending. This was in addition to being able to access the offer through the normal "Premium Stuff" menu that was present when the offer first launched (see Gallery for images).
The offer ended when the timer ran down to zero on August 12, 2014, at 8am GMT.

Gameplay
When the player taps on:
Gather 'round the burning oil drum, children. Ol' Gil's going to tell you a summer vacation story!
I didn't know you were a storyteller Gil!
You'd be surprised at all the things Gil can do when he smells bored children with credit card wielding parents. Anyway...
Once upon a time, there was a weak, tired, grey haired old salesman who needed some money to pay for his kids' back to school supplies.
So he cooked up a bunch of donuts, because he couldn't afford enough flour for non-holed pastries, threw them in a dumpster, and tried to sell them to gullible kids like you.
This story sounds an awful lot like a promotional sale...
Dang it, they said children were unable to tell the difference between advertising and reality until the age of 12!
No... that would be the age of five.

Offer Accepted
Upon purchasing either offer:
Dad, that's disgusting! You just bought donuts that come in a trash receptacle. Couldn't you have just raided the one behind Lard Lad?
If the Dumpster of 576 Donuts and Premium Box was bought:
Hey, it's not the donuts I'm paying for. It's the lack of OTHER trash in the dumpster I'm paying for.
If the Tray of 132 Donuts and 10,000 Money was bought:
It wasn't just the donuts that got me -- it was also the money sticking out from the tray of donuts.
Offer Declined/Tap Back After Receiving Offer
Are you punishing me because I didn't tell the kids a REAL story?

Premium Box
Here are the buildings and decorations the player could have won from the Premium Box along with the odds of winning them. If the player already owned an item, one of two non-unique consolation prizes was awarded instead.
