Sonic Youth is an American rock band. They voiced themselves and played the closing credits of the season 7 episode "Homerpalooza".

Sonic Youth were voted joint 23rd in IGN's "Top 25 Simpsons Guest Appearances" along with Cypress Hill, Peter Frampton, and The Smashing Pumpkins.
