- The short's first act, where Maggie sticks a fork in an electrical socket, did not appear in syndication, because FOX thought that it might influence children to repeat the action. The scene where Mom tells Bart and Lisa to watch Maggie was also cut.
- In syndication, the fork adjacent to the outlet remains in the background.
