- When Agent Darke tells Marge that stump rot is a disease "and [he's] the cure" he removes his sunglasses, a reference to the character Lt. Horatio Caine from CSI Miami, who would often make a pun and remove his sunglasses before the shows opening credits. He also resembles Tad White from the Disney series, Recess.
