The Red Rash Inn is a motel.
History
When the Simpson family escaped from the EPA, they hid at the motel. While there, Homer came up with a plan to move to Alaska and leave their old life behind.
Behind the Laughter
The motel's name is a pun on the Red Lion Hotel Corporation, whose individual hotels are sometimes called Red Lion Inns.
