Around Town with Ned Flanders is Ned Flanders's cable access television show. It is a documentary in which Ned tells about Springfield's historic locales.
History
Ned shot the first episode with the help of Rod on the camera and Todd on sound. All went well for the scenes at the Flanders home as Ned talked about the history or Springfield and mentioened several places they were going to vist. However, the production went awry when Ned accidentally ran over a drunken Barney Gumble. After they loaded Barney into the car to take him to the hospital, Snake (who had just robbed the Kwik-E-Mart) pressed Ned into service as a getaway driver. Immediately after that, Apu leaped onto the hood in an attempt to prevent the getaway. Chief Wiggum saw the situation, mistakenly concluded that the occupants of Ned's car were joyriders, and began chasing them while Officer Lou shot at Ned's car. The gunfire scared Todd, and he fainted, dropping his boom microphone. The boom mike jostled Snake's gun arm, and Snake accidentally shot out one of Ned's tires, causing the car to run into a building, flip over and crash.
Ned's car was badly damaged (resulting in a huge repair estimate from Al's Towing); Rod was slightly injured; and Todd was traumatized so badly that he started wetting the bed. In spite of these mishaps, Ned won a local Emmy Award for his documentary work. Ned, however, turned down the award on the grounds that he couldn't accept any graven images.
