A Hard Place is a bar outside Springfield.
History
When Homer tried to save his family from the EPA but failed, he got stuck on the side of a wrecking ball, which started swinging him back and forth between A Hard Place and a large rock. After a while, the wrecking ball stopped and then fell on top of Homer.
