Synopsis[edit]
- After discovering that he has superpowers, Bart finds out that he is the illegitimate son of the underworld destroyer god, Gene Simmons of KISS.
Plot[edit]
At Springfield Elementary School, Bart gets a wedgie from the bullies. Wanting revenge on them, Bart opens his mouth, revealing a long tongue, and breathes fire over the bullies, leaving them as skeletons with just their heads and feet. Bart is then given a suspension by Principal Skinner for destroying school property. Bart goes home early, where Marge notices the long tongue and decides to come clean with Bart about his father. When Homer and Marge were dating, Marge went out with her friends to see KISS perform. Gene Simmons kept making "bunny ears" on stage, so Marge made them back to him. After the show, Marge couldn't find her friends, and Simmons found her at the payphone while she was trying to call for a ride. He flirted with Marge, and they went back to Marge's apartment to play board games. Afterward, they slept together. When Marge woke up in the morning, she found that Simmons was gone, leaving behind his bass guitar and a letter explaining that he was actually the god of thunder. Marge also found that she had become pregnant with Bart.
After Marge explains this, she hands Bart the bass guitar left to him by his father. Bart strums the guitar and transforms into Bart Simmons: God of Thunder. Bart flies back to school to get revenge on Principal Skinner and the students. He incinerates Skinner and Edna Krabappel and turns the students into anthropomorphic animals. He then attacks the school and tells the students to destroy it. Back at home, Marge explains to Homer that Bart isn't his biological son. When Bart returns home, Lisa explains to him that greatness comes from within, not just from a freak accident, and that he has to do something good to become great. At that moment, Rigellians attack in UFOs, wanting to take over the world. Bart confronts Kang and Kodos and tells them that he already started enslaving the world two hours ago. He then explains that his plans involve putting kids in charge, adding his face to Mount Rushmore, only allowing cartoons, monster movies, and rock videos on television, making every night Halloween, and making every day Free Comics Day. When Bart asks for Kang and Kodos' plans, they mention expanding the tax laws, putting up some more strip malls, and making a fourth Free Willy movie. The Rigellians feel ashamed of their plans and decide to call off the invasion.
Lisa tells Bart that he's a hero because he saved the world, and Bart gives a victory speech to the people of Springfield and commands everyone to party. He then forms the band BART, with himself, Lisa, Milhouse, and Ralph being members, and Nelson and Jimbo selling souvenirs at the show.
