Subway

Subway is an American restaurant franchise. In 1996-97, it sold Simpsons merchandise (toys) with meals. The action figures were made in China.

Toys

Subway released four toys. Bart was a wind-up toy on a skateboard. Homer was a pull-string toy that followed a plate of donuts, and Lisa was a whistle which you could blow into the back of to make her "play" her saxophone. Bartman was a spinning figure within a frame.

Behind the Laughter

Subway was once parodied as Sprubway in The Simpsons, as well as Chief Wiggum referencing their controversial spokesman Jared Fogle.
