Iceland is a country in the Atlantic Ocean.

History

After the Springfield Squidport was revamped, Homer and Marge decided to spend an evening there. While walking along the boardwalk, they passed a number of businesses. One of the stores they passed was selling food from Iceland.

After Homer, Carl, Lenny and Moe won the lottery together, Carl cashed the prize money in for himself and traveled to Iceland, where his adoptive family lived.

The Monroe family had a book from Iceland.

When Homer and Mr. Burns thought they were step-brothers from Abraham Simpson marrying Daphne Burns, Homer's credit limit was raised so he bought Iceland. When Homer and Burns found out that they weren't actually step-brothers since Abe had actually married actress Tallulah Winkelman, Homer phoned Iceland to tell them the renaming to "Homerland" was off, which made the residents sad.
