Although the store displayed several imitation brand-name televisions, a salesman recommended the Carnivalé model, describing it as the best choice for viewers who wanted to "really watch" television. He emphasized its practical features, including a two-pronged wall plug, a molded carrying handle, and a durable outer casing designed to resist damage. Impressed by the demonstration, Homer purchased the Carnivalé television, which replaced the family's old set.
