Crisis of Discontinuous Continuities! is a Simpsons Super Spectacular comic story first printed in Simpsons Super Spectacular #16.
Synopsis[edit]
- Plasmo taps into a neighboring dimension to find a replacement for a fallen Superior Squadron comrade, causing a calamitous chain reaction and a world overpopulated with duplicate heroes and villains.
Plot[edit]
In Zenith City, the Superior Squadron are battling against General Motor, a giant robot. They successfully defeat him, but the robot falls on Bug Boy, crushing him on the windscreen of General Motor's head. That evening, the Superior Squadron discuss Bug Boy's death, and Plasmo reveals that he can bring in another Bug Boy from a different reality to replace him. The Superior Squadron agree to this, and Bug Boy from Reality Eighteen is brought in through a portal. However, as soon as the new Bug Boy sees Captain Squid, he attacks him from behind and kills him. Bug Boy explains that in his universe, Captain Squid is a villain. Plasmo then creates another portal and brings in Captain Squid from Reality Twenty-Two to replace their Captain Squid.
With the Superior Squadron complete once again, they go to do battle against the Felons Four, which is made up of Samaroo, Bowlarama, The Scout Master, and Dr. Crab. During the fight, Samaroo bisects Brave Heart with his sword, killing him. Since the Squadron's credit card is in Brave Heart's name, Plasmo brings Black Brave Heart to their reality. Soon after, each member of the Superior Squadron gets killed and replaced, with Plasmo being the only original member remaining. The Superior Squadron hold their annual picnic, although Plasmo notices several extra members are in attendance. They reveal that since Plasmo has been taking heroes from their realities, there's an imbalance between good and evil, leaving Plasmo's universe as the only safe universe. An alternate reality Plasmo then comes through a portal and tells Plasmo that he has doomed everybody and all the villains from every reality have banded together to conquer the multiverse. Soon after, the All-Creation Legion of Villainy arrives to defeat the remaining superheroes. Seeing this, Plasmo decides to flee through another portal.
Plasmo escapes from his dimension and goes to a dimension far away, and is never heard from again in his universe. He ends up in the universe of Archie Comics and joins the gang. However, they don't believe his story.
