Captain Cupcake and Pieboy! is a Simpsons Super Spectacular comic story first printed in Simpsons Super Spectacular #5.
Synopsis[edit]
- Professor Frink has turned evil, going by Professor Fink. He hits Pie Man and Cupcake Kid with his Finkatonic Ray, swapping their ages and creating Captain Cupcake and Pieboy!
Plot[edit]
In a flash forward, Captain Cupcake and Pieboy are running away from an avalanche of coal while Professor Fink and Snake Jailbird watch on.
One night, Pie Man and Cupcake Kid are patrolling Springfield. Pie Man shows Cupcake Kid a newspaper clipping about valueless coins being stolen, which they decide to investigate. At the Kwik-E-Mart, Professor Fink and Snake are stealing the cash. Professor Fink uses his Finkatonic Ray to make the coins older, thus making them more valuable. Pie Man and Cupcake Kid enter the Kwik-E-Mart to stop the criminals, but Professor Fink hits them with his Finkatonic Ray, swapping their ages. As Professor Fink tries to escape, Captain McCallister confronts him, scaring Fink. Snake attacks the Captain, and the two villains escape. Pie Man and Cupcake Kid then realize that they have swapped ages.
Captain Cupcake and Pieboy return home, where Marge cries about what happened to them. Lisa then gives the two of them a plan on how to stop Fink and Snake. At Burn's Coal, Fink and Snake are stealing the coal being mined there. Captain Cupcake and Pieboy arrive to stop them, but Fink causes an avalanche of coal. The heroes throw plates at the coal, causing it to split away from them as it falls. They then go to Frink's house to figure out why he turned evil. They find the remains of the Hypno-Gun, which Snake used on Frink. Captain Cupcake then comes up with a solution and realizes where Professor Fink will go next.
The next day, Professor Fink and Snake go to the Springfield Retirement Castle, where they plan to use the old people to age the coal into diamonds. Fink de-ages Grampa and creates a pile of diamonds using his stolen age. Pie Man and Cupcake Kid then arrive, having seemingly gone back to their normal ages again. Professor Fink hits them with his Finkatonic Ray once more, only to realize that they were wearing each other's costumes. The Finkatonic Ray turns them back to their normal ages, and Cupcake Kid tackles Snake to the ground. A recording of Captain McCallister saying "Arrrrr" on loop begins playing, which causes Professor Fink to revert back to Professor Frink. He then uses the Finkatonic Ray to put Grampa back to his normal age and turn the diamonds back into coal.
Professor Frink asks Pie Man and Cupcake Kid how they fixed him, and they tell him that they realized Fink was scared of the Sea Captain because he kept saying "arrr", and the only difference between Professor Frink and Professor Fink was the letter "R". This meant it was the key to breaking the hypnotism. After Cupcake Kid finishes off the exposition, Pie Man strangles him.
