Brain Drain is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #83.

Synopsis

Mr. Burns turns to his employees to think of ways to stop the protests against the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.

Plot

Protests are taking place outside the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, and Mr. Burns tells Smithers to tell the idiots to think of ideas to improve the plant's safety. Lenny tells Carl and Homer that they should put handles on the sides of the reactors so they look like steaming coffee cups. Carl takes advantage of the idea and places a giant cement donut in the middle of Lenny's design. Homer gets an idea: putting up a sign that says nuclear power is three times safer, while Smithers fuels up Mr. Burns' private jet for a trip to Venezuela.
