The Pig cufflinks is a pair of novelty cufflinks shaped like a bride and groom pig that had become a Simpson family tradition.
History[edit]
Homer Simpson received them from his father on the day he married Marge and believed they had brought the couple good luck throughout their marriage. Before Lisa Simpson's wedding, Homer presented the cufflinks to Hugh Parkfield in the hope that he would continue the tradition. Although Hugh initially agreed to wear them, he privately considered them embarrassing and intended not to use them. When Lisa discovered his attitude toward the cufflinks and, more importantly, his contempt for her family, she realized he did not respect an important part of her life. This confrontation led Lisa to call off the wedding before the ceremony could take place.
