The Springfield Renaissance Faire was a Renaissance fair.
History
The Simpson family visited the Springfield Renaissance Faire, a medieval-themed festival featuring knight battles, puppet shows, historical demonstrations, and Friar Wiggum's Fantastical Beastorium. While Homer spent the day enjoying the fair and eating eight different kinds of meat, an embarrassed Lisa wandered off to the Beastorium. There, one of Wiggum's attractions, an "Esquilax"—described as a horse with the head of a rabbit and the body of a rabbit—escaped into the forest. Lisa followed the animal and discovered a fortune teller's booth. Although initially skeptical, she was impressed when the fortune teller correctly identified members of her family and began telling her about her first true love. After leaving the booth, Lisa reunited with Homer, who proudly recounted his adventures at the fair, and she listened attentively as they walked away together.
