When Homer flips past the TV channels where everybody is talking about the upcoming Radioactive Man film one of the shows he passes by is Late Show with David Letterman.[2]

The Simpson family sat on their house couch, then realized the couch was on the set of Late Show with David Letterman; next to the couch, David Letterman spun around in his chair to face forward at his desk.[3][4]
The Simpson family was in a taxi stuck in traffic. They got out and walked the rest of the way. Homer passed a street magic trick run by Raphael and tried it, losing after betting roughly $60. Marge then dragged him away. When they reached a building, Homer headbutted a security guard to get in and then headbutted a woman outside a studio door to enter. They ran inside and sat on the couch next to David Letterman. He was shocked that they had flown the Simpsons all the way there just for that, then told his band to play, and they performed the theme song.[5]
