A youth hockey championship in Springfield became highly controversial after siblings Bart and Lisa Simpson faced each other on opposing teams. Bart played for the Mighty Pigs, while Lisa became the star goalie of the Kwik-E-Mart Gougers after unexpectedly discovering her hockey talent. As the season progressed, the rivalry between the two intensified and attracted attention across the town. During the final game, Bart was awarded a penalty shot against Lisa with only seconds remaining and the score tied. However, instead of continuing the rivalry, the siblings embraced at center ice after remembering their childhood bond. The unexpected ending enraged the crowd, leading to a violent riot inside the arena.
