History

After quitting being a reverend, Timothy Lovejoy became a hot tub salesman here. He successfully sold a hot tub to Apu and Manjula and then annoyed Apu by asking about decking. When Ned Flanders and Bart asked him to come back to the First Church of Springfield, he refused, saying that he had found his calling, being a hot tub salesman.

Lovejoy later rolled into the First Church of Springfield in a hot tub likely from this shop.

Behind the Laughter

The store is named after the nursery rhyme "Rub-a-dub-dub".
