Bart Simpson got involved in an incident which he skateboards nude, part of it being recorded.

History

Homer asks Bart to skateboard naked to Krusty Burger and back as a dare, which he reluctantly does because Homer would call him a chicken for life. Part-way there, the police shoot Bart's skateboard, causing him to collide with the window of Krusty Burger in front of the Flanders family.[1] When Homer catches up with him and the police, he gets Bart to take the blame for the idea, otherwise Homer would be sent to a parental re-education course. They enter Krusty Burger, when Ned gives Bart spare clothes (as Homer only brought a shirt) and Homer discovers Plopper.

Bart sees a video recording of it when flicking channels.[2]

Part of it appears in a thumbnail for a YouTube video called "The Simpson Family's Most Problematic Moments!", uploaded by Sherri and Terri.[3]

  • Chip Davis was present with the Flanders when Bart landed on the window.[4]

Behind the Laughter

  • The scene is inspired by a gag in the Austin Powers film series[5], which the titular character is seen nude and partially obscured by various objects.
  • Sherri and Terri were originally going to be present in the scene, but was replaced with Homer. They are present in a piece of merchandise.
  • This was adapted for a game on the Simpsonsmovie.com website.
    • Another piece of promotional material on the site shows Bart outside the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, even though it does not appear in the movie at that moment.
  • Some of the producers thought that the scene could cause The Simpsons Movie to receive an R rating, but claimed the MPAA reviewers saw a 'really sad movie' immediately before, giving The Simpsons Movie film a PG-13 rating.[5]
    • However, the film was only rated a PG in the United Kingdom.[6]
