- Jenny resembles Samantha Stankey from Bart's Friend Falls in Love. Ironically, the exact reverse of the episode's events seem to be the main plot line.
- When Milhouse said "Hello Bart" it sounded like something Sideshow Bob would say.
- The title is a reference to characters. (The good to Jenny, the sad to Milhouse and the drugly to Lisa)
Cultural references
- When Lisa searches for what Springfield will be like in 50 years on the computer she searches the web site Oogle, a very obvious parody of Google.
