• The actual state of Springfield may be revealed in one of Comic Book Guy's secret videos. During the video "Secret Nuclear Defense Plan U.S. Govt. Film #1612" a map is clearly shown that highly resembles that of Springfield Massachusetts, most notably by the large river running through the town intending to represent the Connecticut River.

• The "Biclops" comic is a loose parody of the character "Cyclops" from the X-Men comics.
