Comic Story information

The Paper Chase is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #61.
Milhouse has a job as a paper boy and gives Bart some pages to help him create a makeshift kite. The kite gets lost in the wind, catches Milhouse and causes him to break his leg after it lifts him into the air. Bart agrees to take over Milhouse's paper route but it proves more difficult than anticipated when the neighbors' pets chase after him. He tries to use fireworks and peanut butter (to lure dogs) to make the delivery easier, but they are both unsuccessful, so he returns to the original method.
Bart later gets the idea to use a white-out and the Flanders' printing press to create a fake article declaring the school closed. After a long series of fabricated articles used to his advantage, Bart writes a final article warning the townspeople of a giant moth attacking Springfield. This backfires when everyone is forced to stay indoors and Professor Frink creates a giant moth-killing robot. The robot destroys everything in its path that resembles a moth and Frink reveals that it cannot shut down until the giant moth is killed. With the help of other schoolkids, Bart constructs a giant moth-shaped kite out of newspapers. The robot destroys the kite and shuts down, saving the town.
