• The comic's title spoofs an iconic phrase from the Batman series "To the Batmobile".
• The four audio books the family listens to are parodies of children's chapter books The Phantom Tollbooth, James and the Giant Peach, Mr. Popper's Penguins and A Wrinkle in Time. Each time they imagine themselves portraying main characters and the citizens of Springfield as the supporting.

• "The Phantom Tollhouse" is the only story to conclude, the other three are abruptly cut short by a distraction or outburst; two are made by Marge trying to stop Homer from eating the audiobook, and one by Lisa complaining about the fourth story's climax.
