Radioactive Man and Roargo is a Simpsons Super Spectacular comic story first printed in Simpsons Super Spectacular #1.
Synopsis[edit]
- "Radioactive Man must rescue Zenith City from a monster named Roargo."
Plot[edit]
Radioactive Man is having experiments done on him by Dr. Peters and Ginnie at Peters' lab. When Radioactive Man has enough of the experiments, he leaves. However, a mysterious figure who was watching slipped away to another lab whilst the scientists were occupied. As Radioactive Man went to leave, Dr. Peters warns him that the experiments may have left him a little tired. Radioactive Man then flies to WZEN Tower where Gloria Grand is finishing off an interview. Claude Kane III asks Gloria on a date but she rejects him. They are then interrupted by a report that a 50-foot lizard is rampaging around Zenith City.
Radioactive Man flies to stop the lizard but finds himself getting beaten by it due to his weakened state. Dr. Peters and Ginnie show up and reveal that it was another assistant, I.M. Redd, who unleashed the monster on the city. Redd reveals that he went looking for a supernatural cure for his fingers locking up and accidentally summoned Roargo using an Ancient Saurian Scroll, which he deciphered whilst Dr. Peters and Ginnie were busy with Radioactive Man. Radioactive Man tries to stop Roargo once more but was still too weak to do so.
Radioactive Man then flies to the Rubber Factory and puts together a giant lizard mother costume to stop Roargo. Roargo latches onto Radioactive Man in the costume, thinking it is his mother, and Radioactive Man takes Roargo to the Arctic North where Roargo gets frozen in ice. Radioactive Man then flies back to Zenith City and gives an interview about how he stopped Roargo.
During the interview, Radioactive Man and Gloria are interrupted by Dr. Peters and Ginnie. They tell Radioactive Man that their monkey, Kinga, got exposed to radiation and became giant. Radioactive Man goes back to the Rubber Factory to make a gorilla mother costume whilst the employees there discuss just having replenishing their rubber supply.
