The Simpsons Road Rage has 16 characters that can drive 18 vehicles, and four vehicles with a holiday theme. Five of the cars are available from the start, and 12 of them the player must unlock by earning certain amounts of money. There is no particular order that the unlockable characters must be chosen. One of Homer's cars can only be unlocked by completing all ten missions.
You can also play as Smithers in Mr. Burns' limo, the Nuclear Bus, and a red brick with four simple circular wheels, with different colors. These can only be played with the use of in-game cheat codes.

The following vehicles can only be played through the use of in-game cheats. The cheats that are entered vary between consoles. The Burns Transit bus and Burns' Limo are seen regularly around Springfiel during normal gameplay.
