Isn't it just the same character
I know VIII and the other VII, but isn't it just a simple error in the production rather then a separate character even though no mention that they are father and son (who look like they are the same age). 24.141.5.202 02:17, November 25, 2013 (EST)
- I can't recall for certain, but I believe the episode guide for Old Yeller Belly addresses the potential confusion between the two. I'll check it out later tonight, if nobody beats me to it. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 09:49, November 25, 2013 (EST):
- From the episode guide: "H.K. Duff VIII, the owner of the Springfield Isotopes in "Hungry Hungry Homer", should not be confused with H.K. Duff VII, C.E.O. of the Duff Corporation in this episode." --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 20:00, November 26, 2013 (EST)
- All respect to whichever guide writer did that, that makes no sense. He is clearly the same character beyond an extra "I." He's voiced by the same guess star. Plenty of characters' names have changed, doesn't make them two characters. 24.141.5.202 20:16, November 26, 2013 (EST)
- They have also mentioned this in the DVD commentary. They have never confirmed at VII is death. I guess it was a mistake from the first place but they has used both name. Both can be alive, it should be possible, they have different titles. /AleWi (talk) 00:06, November 27, 2013 (EST)
