The Children's Book Job is the upcoming first episode of broadcast season 38 of The Simpsons and the eight hundred tenth episode overall. It will air on September 27, 2026[1] The episode was written by Dan Vebber. It guest stars Emma Thompson as a British children's book author.[2]
Synopsis
- A British children's book author comes to Springfield to give a talk at Springfield Elementary School. Homer is tasked with picking her up from the airport, but things go bad from there.[2]
Production
The episode was revealed in The Simpsons D23 panel on August 15, 2026. The episode is a homage to the film Get Him to the Greek. The episode also features homages to popular children's books by Richard Scarry, Make Way for Ducklings, and The Stinky Cheese Man.[2]
