Company Information Purpose: Sound company First appearance: "Burns' Heir"

THX is a sound system used for several movies. The noise (officially named the "Deep Note") was so loud that it caused the room to shake, Hans Moleman's glasses broke, another person's teeth broke, the fire exit sign was smashed, the ceiling came crashing down, and a person's head exploded (a reference to the horror film Scanners). When it was over, people were cheering, unlike Grampa, who asked to turn it up.

Behind the Laughter

THX is a real company now owned by Razer. A widescreen reanimated version of this scene was often used in cinemas with THX certification.
