Aruba is an island in the Caribbean, just north of Venezuela.
History
After visiting the area for two months, a tanned Mayor Quimby announced at a town meeting that it was not feasible to build a supertrain between Springfield and Aruba.[1]
Moe and Marge were going there for the Tavern and Restaurant Owners Convention. However, Homer also got on board the plane and stopped this. After this, Moe just lies on a beach in Aruba and wants the tide to take him away. Moe tells Marge and Homer than there was a mistake with the hotel bookings and it ended up with Moe and Homer sharing a bed in a hotel in Aruba.[2]
