Cultural References
- The story's title is a pun on Otto Mann's name and the Automat vending machine restaurant.
- Otto takes note of Kang's putting a "Susan B." into the vending machine, referring to a Susan B. Anthony dollar coin.
- Kodos says that she needs Kang's last quarter for a parking meter.
Trivia
- The vending machine has twenty-one food slots, numbered A1 through G3.
- The following people are seen in the food slots:
- Ralph Wiggum in slot G3
- An unidentified person in slot F3 (immediately above Ralph)
- Otto in slot B2
- The machine's selling price for humans is $2.50. Because Otto is aware of this (due to being able to distinguish the sounds of the coins as they're deposited), evidently he has heard at least one person being sold.
