Cultural references
- Calvin and Hobbes: Bart's building a formation of snowmen and then destroying them is strongly reminiscent of Calvin's antics with snowmen in the comic strip.
- Bart makes ten snowmen and arranges them in a triangular formation, like a set of bowling pins.
- As the giant snowball hits the formation of Skinner-snowmen, Bart says he likes his revenge served up cold, referencing the proverb "Revenge is a dish best served cold", which has been cited in The Godfather and Star Trek.
