Samoa, formerly Western Samoa, is an island nation in Oceania.
History
When Bart was phoning various countries in the Southern Hemisphere to ask if their water drained clockwise, Samoa was seen on Bart's globe.
Behind the Laughter
The country's name was officially changed from "Western Samoa" to "Samoa" in 1997. Since this episode aired before the name was changed, on Bart's globe the country is labelled as "Western Samoa".
