Comic Series Information
|
Simpsons Comics in the UK have been published by Titan Magazines since February 24, 1997. They are mostly the same as the American releases, the main differences being:
- Issues are released approximately a year behind the USA release.
- Comic page sizes are larger, approximately A4 in size. ((Size H)New Size 2000AD)
- Cover designs are slightly different, the most notable difference being a left hand side panel giving a preview of what's inside the comic.
- Some issues have different title captions to the US equivalents.
- Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror, Bartman, Itchy & Scratchy Comics, Krusty Comics, Lisa Comics, Radioactive Man, Simpsons Comics and Stories, The Simpsons Winter Wingding 1 and The Simpsons Winter Wingding 2 comics are included in this run instead of as different series.
- Many of the shorter stories are mixed up from the American version while the main stories are more consistent with the original releases.
- Junk Mail is completely separate to the American version, instead including letters and drawings from British readers.
- Some issues have free gifts. From #121 through to #264, every single issue has come with a gift.
- 13 issues are published every year (once every four weeks).
- A lot more words in the UK version are censored.
This series ended at issue 264 and was replaced by issue 1 of All-New Simpsons Comics from August 24, 2017.

Features
In every issue there are several additional features. Many have been introduced at different points in the series' lifespan while some features have been introduced on a temporary basis or have been dropped for other reasons.
Junk Mail
Junk Mail is a letter page and has been ongoing since the very first issue (excluding Simpsons Comics #20) and has been revamped many times. Typically of letter pages, fans write in or send their artwork. Unlike the American version, the UK Junk Mail features a "Star Prize", where the person who sends in the best letter or artwork is rewarded with a prize, usually The Simpsons related merchandise.
