Let's Get Fiscal

Company Information
|
Let's Get Fiscal is a business located in Springfield. It offers financial planning services.
History
Homer and Marge visited Let's Get Fiscal when Marge realized the family's financial situation was so bad that they needed to see a financial planner. As they arrived, an unnamed financial planner was talking to Police Chief Clancy Wiggum and his wife Sarah. The planner told Wiggum that he hadn't set anything aside for the future, and Wiggum countered by saying that as a cop, he would get shot three days before retirement: "In the business, we call it 'retirony'." The planner in return said, "What if you don't get shot?" which shocked Wiggum and made Sarah cry.
Naegle concluded by saying that because Homer was too stupid to stick to a budget, the only way to solve his financial problems was to get more money. When Homer asked how he could do that, Naegle was quick to define her range of services: "I'm a financial planner, not a financial consultant!" Homer apologized and Naegle asked for her fee. Homer first tried to bluff his way out of the situation by pretending to be a deaf-mute, but Naegle didn't buy it: "We've been talking for the last twenty minutes!" Homer then threw a fistful of index cards into Naegle's face, grabbed Marge, and ran out of the building — very similar to their attempt to dine and dash at The Singing Sirloin, but this time successful.
Behind the Laughter
- The business's name is a pun on the lyric "Let's get physical", from the song "Physical" by Olivia Newton-John.
