When Bart gets into a fight with Terrance and Emily's son T-Rex (Patton Oswalt), the friendship becomes strained and Terrence, angry at the Simpsons, calls his friends from Portland, and Springfield is soon full with 'cool' people. Meanwhile, Marge feels uncomfortable around Emily and her friends when they are breastfeeding, and she is feeding Maggie from the bottle.

Bart is in the park when he tramples on other kids' feet walking over the top of the monkey bars. Homer begins to yell at Bart, wanting to swear at him, until he spots a woman tying her shoes - prompting Homer to yell "You might fall!" instead. The woman says that Bart is a cute little rascal. Homer wonders if the woman is flirting with him. The woman makes a compliment about how she can see where he gets his looks from, and Homer realizes she is flirting with him. Before Homer can 'let her down easy', the woman says that Bart is lucky to get a trip to the park - with his grandpa. Homer yells "Grandpa?" and suddenly runs out of breath. The woman calls for help, and then Homer explains to the woman that he is Bart's father, while he talks about how he can't believe he let the woman hit on him. Homer sits down on a bench, and ducks come up to him. Homer tells the ducks to beat it, and they do after Homer raises his arms while telling them he's sexy.
At the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Homer arrives in the break room where he finds his colleagues with new donuts - covered in 'crazy' toppings. One of the 'crazy' donuts is a Russian Nesting Donut. Homer goes over to the box where the donuts are from, but he looks inside the box to find that it is empty. Homer demands that he knows where the donuts came from, and Lenny said that the man who does the sexual harassment seminars brought them in. Homer interupts a seminar, and asks the speaker where he got the donuts from. The speaker tells him that he got them from a 'man with a card'. Homer rings the police, telling them he would like to report a missing donut cart. Chief Wiggum asks Lou to go lower in the helicopter, but they can't because of power lines. Wiggum orders Lou to go lower, and they do, maneuvering the helicopter between the power lines. Homer begins to see part of the logo for the donut cart, but doesn't understand it until he gets to the hooves of the Devil in the logo. Down at the Devil Donuts donut cart, the cart owner tells Wiggum and Homer that he's out of donuts, because he only makes one batch a day. Wiggum orders the cart owner to make more, or he's going to shoot. Wiggum then walks off with Lou, saying "What have I become?" Homer sulks on the kerb, and the cart owner tells Homer that he can try a new donut still in testing - a donut made entirely out of cake. Homer shakes hands with the cart owner, who tells Homer that he's Terrence.
Later, Terrence and Homer are sat in deck chairs, and Homer tells Terrence that he's heard of people come being from Portland - where Terrence has come from. Homer has in fact NOT heard of people being from Portland. Terrence said that Portland became too 'played out'. Homer is shocked when Terrence says he has kids, because Terrence is so cool. He tells Homer that he and his family are living in a motor home, looking for somewhere to move into. Homer tells Terrence that the house next to his has been on sale forever. After looking around the house, Terrence tells Homer that he and Emily, his wife, have dreamed of restoring an architectural masterpiece. Terrence thanks Homer for turning them on, and he tells Homer that he's a cool guy. Homer is extremely happy, and asks Terrence if he can man hug him. Terrence says "Sure", and Homer attempts to man hug Terrence, but he doesn't know how to man hug.
