Cultural references
- The episode title is a pun on the song "Love is a Many-Splendored Thing".
- At the start of the opening sequence, the Planet Express ship from Futurama flies by the title screen. The intro music from Futurama also plays briefly.
- The Billboard gag shows a picture of Moe dressed as an Easter bunny holding a basket. Beside him the billboard reads "do not accept candy from this bunny."
