Marvin Monroe Memorial Hospital is a hospital located in Springfield. Mr. Burns was admitted to this hospital after the "Burns Shooting". The hospital is named after Dr. Marvin Monroe.
Behind the Laughter
This marked the "death" (semi-retirement) of Dr. Monroe. The writers retired the character because the voice was too hard on Harry Shearer.
