Deceased Status[edit]

On a character page, the status of deceased, alive, etc. refers to their status as established in-universe, even if the character is based on a real-world person. For example:

  • Gerald Ford is dead in real life. However, there has been no specific in-universe reference to has having passed on, so the status on his character page is "Alive".
  • Ernest Borgnine is alive in real life. But the status of his character is uncertain (the ending of the episode in which his character appeared left it unclear), so the status on his character page is "Possibly deceased".
  • Bob Hope is dead in real life, and his passing has been referred to on the show, so his character page shows his status as "Deceased".

Please bear the above in mind BEFORE you make any changes to people's statuses. Any changes which do not fall under those guidelines will be reverted and may possibly result in a block for disruptive editing. Thank you. -- Mythigator 09:06, 18 June 2012 (EDT)
