History
The Simpson family had a DVD of the film in their cabin on the Royalty Valhalla cruise. Near the beginning of the film, William Sullivan delivers an announcement that there has been an outbreak of a new virus, and everyone on ships has to stay out at sea to keep from being infected.
Bart, not wanting the cruise to end, played Sullivan's announcement over every TV on the ship. Because the film had not yet been released, everyone thought the announcement was real. To prevent his trick from being discovered, Bart also sabotaged ship-to-shore communications so no one would call home and learn that there was no virus. A panic quickly ensued, and to Bart's delight, the ship stayed at sea instead of returning home. However, Lisa figured out the deception and forced Bart to publicly confess the prank to everyone on board. After that, cruise director Rowan Priddis punished the Simpsons by putting them off the ship in Antarctica.
