Mimi Pond is a writer and cartoonist who has written and illustrated five humor books. She wrote "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" in 1989. Her work has appeared in magazines and newspapers nationally for over 25 years. She was a friend of cartoonist Matt Groening when he asked her to write an episode of the Simpsons.
