The Piemen of the World! is a Simpsons Super Spectacular comic story first printed in Simpsons Super Spectacular #11.

Synopsis[edit]

Homer and Bart meet the Piemen of the World, a group of pie-themed superheroes who aren't anything to do with Homer's Pieman alter-ego. Soon, he and Cupcake Kid help them stop the Stonecutters from assembling the Pie of All Power and taking over the world.

Plot[edit]

The Simpson family are at The Springfield Arts Museum when Number One and the Stonecutters attack the museum to steal an exhibit. Homer and Bart suit up as Pieman and Cupcake Kid so they can stop the theft. However, they are interrupted by someone calling Pieman an imposter. The Piemen of the World arrive and accuse Pieman and Cupcake Kid of messing up their plan to stop the Stonecutters. As the pie-themed superheroes talk with each other, the Stonecutters escape. Pieman and Cupcake Kid take the Piemen back to the Pie Cave, which is the basement of the Simpson house.

The Piemen of the World introduce themselves to Homer and Bart. They are Colonel Custard and Kid Crumpet, Mademoiselle Meringue and The Tart, Captain Kidney Pie and The Veggie-Mite, Señor Fritatta and Flan, el Muchado Maravilloso, and Man O' Pies and Kid Cupcake. Pieman points out that Man O' Pies looks exactly like him, and Cupcake Kid tells him they're Canadian. Mademoiselle Meringue then tells their origin. Centuries ago, the evil Stonecutters fashioned a pie from rock. This stone pie, when its mystic powers matured, would become the Pie of All Power. The Bakers' Guild assembled the Piemen of the World to combat this threat. The Piemen stopped the Stonecutters, but they escaped with pieces of the stone pie. In the present day, most of the pieces were recovered by the Stonecutters, who then managed to steal the final piece from the museum. Since Pieman came to create his alter-ego all by himself without being descended from the original Piemen of the World, Colonel Custard suggests that the spirit of the Bakers' Guild may speak through him, so the Piemen decide to take Pieman and Cupcake Kid on the mission to stop the Stonecutters.

The Piemen take the Pie-Fighter, with Marge tearfully seeing Homer and Bart off. As they approach Pie Island, the original base of the Bakers' Guild, cannons emerge from the island and shoot the plane down. The Piemen parachute down to the island where most of them are captured. Pieman, Cupcake Kid, Mademoiselle Meringue, and The Tart land together and quickly take down three Stonecutters who came to capture them. They dress in the robes to sneak into the base. When they enter, they see the rest of the Piemen and their sidekicks captured. They leave the room to find the Bakers' Guild while Number One assembles the Pie of All Power. When the Stonecutters try the pie, they find that it tastes like each of their favorite flavors. The pie also seems to regenerate after being eaten.

Suddenly, Number One is hit in the face by a pie as Pieman, Cupcake Kid, Mademoiselle Meringue, and The Tart enter the room with the Bakers' Guild. They free the other captured heroes and attack the Stonecutters, who decide to flee. However, they leave a bomb behind as they do. Pieman throws a pie at the bomb and the other heroes join him until the bomb is completely covered, stopping the explosion. Pieman is hailed as a hero by the Piemen and the leader of the Bakers' Guild inducts him into the Piemen of the World and entrusts the Pie of All Power to him. Back at home, Homer serves the Pie of All Power to the family to eat.
