Homer's Smarter Brain Demo[1] is a commercial for the Intel Pentium II range of microprocessors.
The commercial was created by Euro RSCG/DSW Partners. It first aired on November 8, 1998, for the premiere of the sixth season of The X-Files, and ran until December 31 of that year.
Image of an in-store demo CD featuring Homer Simpson, provided to Intel employees and retail sales associates for use as a self-running promotional demo on Pentium II-based PCs.
Plot[edit]
In an operating theater, surgeons implant an Intel Pentium II chip into Homer's brain. Two weeks later, Homer is in Springfield University giving a lecture about the Super Donut. The commercial ends with Intel's familiar five-note jingle, but with Homer's "D'oh!" replacing the last note.
