The Springfield B.P.O.E. is a local branch of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, a fraternal organization that hosts community activities and social events.

The Springfield B.P.O.E., also known as the Elks Club, was the location where George H. W. Bush delivered a speech after moving into the neighborhood. During his conflict with Homer Simpson, Bush attended an Elks Club event to address the members, although he arrived with a colorful wig placed on his head as part of a prank carried out by Homer and Bart. Before beginning his speech, Bush acknowledged the unusual appearance and continued with his remarks. The organization served as the setting for Bush's public appearance during his time as a resident of Springfield.
